we are going to a wedding at the end of this month and the attire is black tie optional. i love this dress, but i'm thinking that it is going to be too informal. any opinions?

Hm, I've never been to a black tie optional event, but since it's optional, I'd think this dress would be fine. If you're not sure though, I'd go with a long dress.
I think it would be great - wear some dressy jewlery and your hair up and it will look just fab!
The dress is definitely appropriate for a black tie optional event. Like Sara said, wear your hair up with some classy jewelry and you'll look great!
